브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 그룹 블랙핑크(BLACKPINK / 지수, 제니, 로제, 리사)가 유튜브 미국 본사의 야심찬 시리즈물 최초 주인공이 됐다.
YG엔터테인먼트에 따르면, 블랙핑크는 오는 2일 오후 12시 45분(이하 한국 시간) 공개 예정인 유튜브 뮤직 시리즈 ‘RELEASED’ 1회에 출연한다.
‘RELEASED’는 글로벌 인기가 검증된 아티스트를 선정해 매주 목요일마다 신보와 아티스트를 소개하는 유튜브 신규 오리지널 콘텐츠. 유튜브 오리지널 다큐멘터리 ‘저스틴 비버: 시즌스(Justin Bieber: Seasons)’나 ‘코첼라 사막에서의 20년(Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert)’처럼 음악에 초점을 맞춘 시리즈다.
전 세계 수많은 슈퍼스타 중 블랙핑크가 ‘RELEASED’ 포문을 열게 됐다. ‘유튜브 퀸’ 명성에 걸맞은 이들의 글로벌 영향력을 확인할 수 있는 대목이다. 특히 블랙핑크는 정규 1집 ‘THE ALBUM’ 음원 전곡을 이날 오후 1시 발표하는 만큼 글로벌 팬들의 큰 관심을 끌어모을 전망이다.
